# Getting Started

The Lollipop iOS app is where you use your Lollipop account on iPhone. It can help you open claim flows from tappable products, collect eligible items and rewards, manage your public profile, and check your collection.

## Before you start

* An iPhone with the Lollipop app installed
* An internet connection
* Your Lollipop account, or enough time to create or recover one
* A Lollipop-enabled product, card, or tag if you want to claim something

> Tip: Some actions only work after you sign in or unlock your account.

## Open the app

1. Find **Lollipop** on your iPhone.
2. Tap the app to open it.
3. If you already have an account on this device, the app may open straight to **Unlock your authenticator** or your home screen.
4. If this is your first time, the welcome screen shows **Create a new account** and **I already have an account**.

\[Screenshot needed: iOS welcome screen with Create a new account and I already have an account]

## What new users should do first

1. Tap **Create a new account** if you are new to Lollipop.
2. When the app shows **Account Created**, reveal your secret recovery phrase.
3. Save the recovery phrase somewhere private before you continue.
4. Turn on the confirmation checkbox, then tap **Continue**.
5. Wait for the home screen to load.
6. Tap the profile button in the top-right corner when you are ready to check your profile and Lollipop Link.

> Warning: Your secret recovery phrase is the only way to restore your account later. Do not skip saving it.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FQxkhQF7DT4Z7fywsTJkN%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%204.08.22%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=bbd11fa7-aa62-4ebf-baed-6d196dbf45be" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## What existing users should do first

1. Tap **I already have an account** if you need to restore an account with your recovery phrase.
2. Enter your recovery phrase and tap **Continue**.
3. If your account is already stored on this device, enter your passcode on **Unlock your authenticator** instead.
4. After the app opens, review your profile, points, and collection.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FRM3kUF1E7rkc79m8fNy0%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%204.09.38%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=f5ec09c7-43de-4172-aae4-89af1a9683c5" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## What you will see on the home screen

The signed-in home screen centers around your Lollipop points card and your collected brand or product cards.

* The points card shows your current point balance.
* Brand and product cards show items in your collection.
* The profile button in the top-right corner opens **Profile**.

\[Screenshot needed: signed-in iOS home screen with points card, collection cards, and profile button]

# Sign In

The Lollipop iOS app does not use a typical email-and-password sign-in screen. Instead, you create or recover your account once, then unlock it on your device when needed.

## If you are new to Lollipop

1. Open the app.
2. Tap **Create a new account**.
3. Wait for **Account Created**.
4. Reveal and save your secret recovery phrase.
5. Confirm that you wrote it down.
6. Tap **Continue**.

## If you already have a Lollipop account

1. Open the app.
2. Tap **I already have an account**.
3. Enter your recovery phrase.
4. Tap **Continue**.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FIKyWbtWDPHO0igz9nkVZ%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%204.09.38%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=2b38c337-f992-44eb-b6e3-4f37992f340f" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Why the app may ask you to approve something

Some actions require extra confirmation from your account. For example, you may see:

* **Log In to Claim**
* **Create Account to Claim**
* **Approve Claim**
* **Approve Profile Update**

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FH23eieSZ3YIsZezPAN5B%2FScreenshot%202026-05-08%20at%208.05.54%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=3ecdf194-8edf-4f47-ac22-df7074503567" alt="" width="180"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This is the app confirming that the action is really coming from a device you control.

> Important: Only approve actions you recognize.

> Tip: You do not need to understand the technical signing process to use the app. Just read the action title carefully and only continue when it matches what you were trying to do.

## If sign-in does not work

1. Make sure you are using the right recovery phrase or the right device passcode.
2. Check your internet connection.
3. Close and reopen the app, then try again.
4. If you were trying to claim something, open the app first and then retry the tap.
5. If you are on the wrong saved account, sign out from **Profile** and recover the correct account again.

## Common messages

* **Incorrect passcode.** The passcode entered on **Unlock your authenticator** did not match this device.
* **Enter your recovery phrase to continue.** The recovery phrase field is empty.
* **Log In to Claim** or **Create Account to Claim**. The item can only be claimed after you sign in or create an account.

# Create or Edit Your Profile

Your profile controls how your public Lollipop identity appears in the app and on your Lollipop Link.

## Open your profile

1. Open the app and go to the home screen.
2. Tap the profile button in the top-right corner.
3. The app opens **Profile**.

## What you can change

The current app lets you change:

* Your **Display Name**
* Your profile photo
* Your header image
* Your selected **Lollipop Link** when more than one link is available

## Edit your profile

1. Open **Profile**.
2. Tap **Edit**.
3. Update your **Display Name**.
4. Tap the camera button on the profile photo or header image if you want to replace it.
5. If a **Link** chooser appears, select the Lollipop Link you want to use.
6. Tap **Publish Changes**.
7. On **Approve Profile Update**, review the request and tap **Approve Update** if it looks right.

> Tip: The app keeps your unsaved changes on this device if publishing does not finish.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FAyMe5fVXB9aquPqLopZa%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%204.13.13%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=083671cd-904b-438f-807a-0d0aee0d79d2" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Preview your public profile

1. Open **Profile**.
2. Tap **Preview Profile**.
3. Review the public version of your profile.

> Tip: If you still have unpublished edits, **Preview Profile** shows your last published profile, not your unsaved draft.

## What happens after saving

After a successful save, the app may show a confirmation like **Your Lollipop is live**.

* Your published profile updates on your Lollipop Link.
* Your profile image can update on the home screen profile button.
* Your selected Lollipop Link stays connected to the profile you published.

## If profile changes do not update

1. Make sure you tapped **Publish Changes**, not just **Done**.
2. Approve **Approve Profile Update** if it appears.
3. Wait for any upload step to finish.
4. Use **Preview Profile** to check your last published version.
5. Close and reopen the app if the home screen still shows an older photo or name.

# Manage Your Lollipop Link

Your **Lollipop Link** is your public Lollipop page, such as `https://lollipop.gg/your-link`.

## Where to find it

1. Open the app.
2. Tap the profile button in the top-right corner.
3. Open **Profile**.
4. Look for the **Link** section.

If you only have one link, the app shows it as a copyable row. If you have more than one, the app can show a link picker while you are editing.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FisZQ5MHJxjfuTFijKQSh%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%204.14.31%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=323503fc-8e6d-48a4-87e0-333e115fae7e" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Change which Lollipop Link is active

1. Open **Profile**.
2. Tap **Edit**.
3. Open the **Link** picker if it appears.
4. Choose the Lollipop Link you want to use.
5. If you also changed profile details, tap **Publish Changes** and approve the update.

## Check the public version

1. Open **Profile**.
2. Tap **Preview Profile**.
3. Review the public page that opens.

## What happens after saving

After your update finishes:

* Your selected Lollipop Link stays connected to your profile.
* Your public page uses the latest published profile details.
* If you only changed the selected link, the app may update it without a full profile publish.

> Tip: If the app still shows the older public page, wait a moment and then reopen the preview.

## If your link does not look right

1. Check whether you still have unpublished changes.
2. Use **Preview Profile** to confirm what is live now.
3. If you switched links, reopen **Profile** and make sure the correct link is selected.
4. Publish again if the app still shows **UNPUBLISHED**.

# Claim Products and Rewards

When you tap a Lollipop-enabled product, card, or tag, the iPhone app can open a claim flow. That flow helps you save the verified item to your account and, when available, add reward points too.

## What usually happens after a tap

1. Tap the Lollipop-enabled product, card, or tag with your iPhone.
2. The app opens a claim drawer.
3. The app loads a preview of the item.
4. If the item includes points, the preview may show the points amount.
5. If you are not signed in, the app shows **Log In to Claim** or **Create Account to Claim**.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2F4tsJJe2L3mzwERpYuPyI%2FIMG_2148.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=7bf18db1-93c3-4526-a45a-67247f4991f2" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Claim an item or reward

1. Open the claim preview.
2. Sign in, recover, or unlock your account if the app asks you to.
3. Tap the claim button shown on screen.
4. If **Approve Claim** appears, read it carefully and approve only if the request matches what you just tapped.
5. Wait for the success screen.
6. Tap **View Item** to open the item in your collection.

> Important: Only approve a claim you expected. If the request looks unfamiliar, stop and do not approve it.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FyLuUAibMEsr7tlCm5W2T%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%206.21.55%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=e7759f37-3f2f-4a37-8991-8b4d59663f84" alt="" width="272"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

\[Screenshot needed: claim approval or loading state that leads into Approve Claim]

## If the claim succeeds

After a successful claim:

* The item is added to your collection.
* Any awarded points can be added to your account.
* **View Item** opens the claimed item from the home collection view.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FxLrSwT70LHtq9MwUx4WX%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%206.20.40%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=7ac8dd15-40a4-4194-8da7-15fd6f72c027" alt="" width="270"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## If the item was already claimed

The app can show **Already Claimed** with a message that the item has already been added to a Lollipop account.

* You will not be able to claim the same item again to the same or another account through this flow.
* Tap **Done** to close the message.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FiY4DWshNEOg9FSi1PKg6%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%206.19.50%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=96ec3390-7bef-4062-b094-cf188c2cbafb" alt="" width="273"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## If a claim fails

1. Tap **Try Again** if the app offers it.
2. If the message says the claim expired, tap the physical item again to start a fresh claim.
3. Make sure you are on the correct account before retrying.
4. Check your internet connection.
5. Reopen the app and tap the item again if needed.

The app can show messages such as:

* **This claim expired**
* **We couldn’t load this claim**
* **Approval failed**
* **This item has already been added to a Lollipop account.**

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FPnAOspVgPy4r6LEkwnKa%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%206.17.55%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=03b6c3e2-0bbf-48b6-921c-35ee55946636" alt="" width="272"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Rewards and Points

Rewards and points are account benefits tied to eligible Lollipop products and taps.

## What rewards and points are

* Some items award points when you claim them.
* Some taps only add the item to your collection and do not add points.
* The exact rules depend on the product you tapped.

> Tip: If a claim includes points, the claim preview usually shows the amount before you approve it.

## How you may earn points

1. Tap an eligible Lollipop product, card, or tag.
2. Open the claim flow.
3. Complete the claim on the correct account.
4. Wait for the success screen.

If points are part of that item, they can be added during the same claim flow.

## Where points appear in the app

On the home screen, the app shows a **LOLLIPOP POINTS** card.

* The large number is your current point balance.
* The card also shows **Brands**, **Collected**, and **Activity** totals.

Tap the points card to open the larger points view. If history is available, the expanded card can show **HISTORY** and **RECENT** entries.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FME1hnAIUtubclFIGoZai%2FIMG_2338.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=075bf565-e7d9-4264-adb6-bf732111e420" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## What points do not tell you

The current iOS app shows your point balance and recent activity, but this documentation does not list redemption rules yet.

If Lollipop adds more points details in the app later, this page will be expanded.

# Your Collection

Your collection is where claimed items appear in the iOS app.

## Where to find your collection

1. Open the app and go to the home screen.
2. Look below the **LOLLIPOP POINTS** card.
3. Browse the brand and product cards shown there.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2F4T1u4sufHrGAP4ex4OwG%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%206.26.18%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=91b61c6d-7fc1-4475-8c03-6822ba7cf4c9" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## How claimed items appear

After a successful claim:

1. The app finishes the claim flow.
2. Tap **View Item** on the success screen.
3. The app opens the claimed item from your collection when it is ready.

> Tip: If the item does not appear right away, close and reopen the app, then check again.

## Open an item in your collection

1. Tap a brand or product card on the home screen.
2. The card expands so you can read more details.
3. If the brand has more than one product, swipe across the card to move between items.

## What details you can see

Depending on the item, the collection view can show:

* Brand name
* Product name
* Rarity
* Product description
* Product image
* Brand links
* Activity details such as taps, visitors, recent activity, or points tied to that item

## What the labels mean

Some collection cards can include:

* **PRODUCT**
* **RARITY**
* **ACTIVITY**
* **Taps**
* **Visitors**
* **+Points**

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FOszmmelSuT0C6gveKx5d%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%206.27.02%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=467b2bf0-9c1a-4d32-ac89-5ddf41c60048" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## If you do not see a claimed item

1. Make sure the claim finished successfully.
2. Tap **View Item** from the success screen when possible.
3. Check that you are on the correct account.
4. Reopen the app and look again.
5. If the claim said the item was already claimed, it will not be added again.

# Account Settings

Most account-related controls in the current iOS app live inside **Profile**.

## Open account settings

1. Open the app.
2. Tap the profile button in the top-right corner.
3. Open **Profile**.

<figure><img src="https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2FkzqQWH7JOn47hVmmB1Co%2FScreenshot%202026-05-09%20at%206.29.19%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&amp;token=aa81940a-58a9-443a-9b73-1969195b2522" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Change appearance

Inside **Customize**, the app lets you choose:

* **System**
* **Dark**
* **Light**

To change it:

1. Open **Profile**.
2. Find **Customize**.
3. Use the **Appearance** control.

> Tip: **System** follows your iPhone setting unless you choose a different option.

## Preview your public profile

1. Open **Profile**.
2. Tap **Preview Profile**.
3. Review the public version of your profile in the preview window.

## Sign out of this device

1. Open **Profile**.
2. Find **Log Out**.
3. Tap **Log Out**.
4. Wait for the app to return to the welcome screen.

> Warning: Make sure you still have your secret recovery phrase before signing out if you may need to recover this account again later.

## Settings that are not documented yet

The current app review did not confirm separate consumer-facing pages for notifications, advanced privacy controls, or direct card/tag settings.

This page will be expanded if those controls appear in the app later.

# Troubleshooting

## I can’t sign in

1. Make sure you are using the right recovery phrase or the right passcode.
2. If the app shows **Unlock your authenticator**, use the passcode for the account saved on this device.
3. If you are restoring an account, make sure the recovery phrase is complete.
4. Close and reopen the app, then try again.

## My claim did not work

1. Tap **Try Again** if the app offers it.
2. Check your internet connection.
3. Make sure you approved the claim on the account you meant to use.
4. Tap the physical item again if the app says the claim expired.

## I already claimed this item

If the app shows **Already Claimed**, that item has already been added to a Lollipop account. It cannot be claimed again through the same flow.

## My reward or points are not showing

1. Open the home screen and check the **LOLLIPOP POINTS** card.
2. Open the claim again only if the app did not finish the first time.
3. Remember that not every item includes points.
4. Close and reopen the app if the balance does not refresh right away.

## I tapped a product but nothing happened

1. Unlock your iPhone and try the tap again.
2. Make sure the product, card, or tag is Lollipop-enabled.
3. Open the app first, then retry the tap.
4. Move the iPhone slightly and try again if the first tap did not register.

## The app did not open after tapping

1. Unlock your iPhone first.
2. Try the tap again.
3. Open the Lollipop app manually and try again.
4. If the tap still does not open a claim, the link may be unavailable or the item may not be responding.

## I do not see my collection item

1. Make sure the claim finished successfully.
2. Tap **View Item** on the claim success screen when available.
3. Reopen the app and check the home collection again.
4. Confirm that you are on the correct account.

## I changed my profile but it did not update

1. Make sure you tapped **Publish Changes**.
2. Approve **Approve Profile Update** if it appears.
3. Wait for any image upload to finish.
4. Use **Preview Profile** to check what is currently live.

> Tip: If something does not update right away, close and reopen the app.

## I’m on the wrong account

1. Open **Profile**.
2. Tap **Log Out**.
3. Return to the welcome screen.
4. Recover the correct account with **I already have an account**, or unlock the correct saved account if it is already on this device.

# Security and Privacy

## Only approve actions you recognize

The app may ask you to approve actions like:

* claiming an item
* updating your profile
* continuing an account-related action

> Warning: Never approve an action you do not recognize.

If something looks wrong, stop and close the request instead of continuing.

## Be careful with account access

Anyone who can unlock your saved account on this device can act as you in the app.

To reduce risk:

1. Keep control of the iPhone you use for Lollipop.
2. Do not share your device passcode.
3. Sign out from **Profile** if you no longer want the account on that device.

## Protect your secret recovery phrase

Your secret recovery phrase can restore your account.

1. Save it somewhere private.
2. Do not send it in messages.
3. Do not store it somewhere other people can access easily.

> Warning: Lollipop will never ask for your secret recovery phrase in a random message.

## Use official Lollipop apps and sites

Only use the official Lollipop iOS app and official Lollipop websites, including `lollipop.gg`, when working with your account or Lollipop Link.

## What the app appears to show and store

Based on the current iOS app behavior reviewed for this Help Center:

* The app can show your account and device details in **Profile** under **Session**.
* The app can show your public profile details and Lollipop Link.
* Claimed items can appear in your collection.
* Reward points can appear on the **LOLLIPOP POINTS** card.

This page stays focused on what the app clearly shows today and will be expanded as more privacy-related settings are documented.

# Overview

Lollipop Authenticator is a Chrome extension that helps you sign in to Lollipop and approve Lollipop account requests from your browser.

The Authenticator lets you:

* Create a new Lollipop account
* Recover an existing account with a secret recovery phrase
* Unlock your account locally on this browser
* Connect to Lollipop pages
* Approve or reject sign-in and signing requests
* View your recovery phrase or change your password from Manage
* Remove the saved account from this browser

## Before you begin

Your Authenticator account is stored encrypted on this browser and device. Your password unlocks it locally.

Your password is not the same as your recovery phrase. If you forget your password, there is no password recovery flow. You must restore the account using your secret recovery phrase.

> **Important:** Anyone with your secret recovery phrase can restore and control the same account. Keep it private and store it somewhere safe.

## Supported Lollipop pages

The Authenticator connects through Lollipop pages, including:

* `https://lollipop.gg/*`
* `https://*.lollipop.gg/*`

If you are not on a Lollipop page, the Authenticator may not connect or may ask you to open your Lollipop dashboard.

# Install and open the Authenticator

Install the Lollipop Authenticator from the Chrome Web Store, then open it from the Chrome extensions menu.

For easier access, pin the Authenticator to your Chrome toolbar.

After opening the Authenticator, you will see options to create a new account or recover an existing account.

## Welcome screen

The welcome screen lets you create a new account or restore one you already have.

# Create a new account

Use this flow if you are setting up Lollipop Authenticator for the first time.

## Start from the welcome screen

Click **Create a new account**.

![Welcome screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-e6614b5b7805ec9816b890a9e33098ae66c6d5a0%2Fwelcome.png?alt=media)

The welcome screen is where new users begin account setup.

## Create a local password

Enter a password, confirm it, agree to the Terms of Service, then click **Continue**.

![Create password screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-37325816ce91e2c9437570db2e38cf927dd72de5%2Fcreate-password.png?alt=media)

This password unlocks your account on this browser and device.

Your password is local to this browser. There is no password recovery flow. If you forget it, you will need your secret recovery phrase to restore the account.

## Finish account creation

After the account is created, the Authenticator will show your secret recovery phrase backup step.

![Account created screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-874e4ac6e4cfd57ac8739527aff385ba42fdaae6%2Faccount-created-recovery-phrase.png?alt=media)

This screen explains that your recovery phrase is the only way to restore your account later.

Do not continue until you have saved your secret recovery phrase somewhere safe.

# Save your secret recovery phrase

Your secret recovery phrase is the real backup for your account.

You need it if:

* You forget your local password
* You remove the account from this browser
* You set up the Authenticator on another device
* Your browser data is deleted or lost

## Reveal and save the phrase

Click or tap the recovery phrase area to reveal the phrase, then write it down and store it somewhere private.

![Account created recovery phrase screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-874e4ac6e4cfd57ac8739527aff385ba42fdaae6%2Faccount-created-recovery-phrase.png?alt=media)

The recovery phrase is hidden until you reveal it during setup.

After you have saved the phrase, check **I have written down this phrase**, then continue.

> **Warning:** Never share your secret recovery phrase with anyone. Lollipop will never ask for it.

## View the phrase later

You can view the phrase later from **Manage**, but you will need your current password.

![Recovery phrase reveal screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-174cb55d36e6e1f7b76f809a5de6e63e2541cca5%2Frecovery-phrase-reveal.png?alt=media)

The recovery phrase screen should only be opened in a private place.

# Recover an existing account

Use this flow if you already have a Lollipop account and want to restore it in this browser.

## Start recovery

From the welcome screen, click **I already have an account**.

![Welcome screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-e6614b5b7805ec9816b890a9e33098ae66c6d5a0%2Fwelcome.png?alt=media)

The welcome screen lets existing users start account recovery.

## Enter your recovery phrase

Enter your 12-word or 24-word secret recovery phrase in the original order.

![Recover account screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-d7675df2fad3ee20e6032dc9ce457010649b1536%2Frecover-account.png?alt=media)

The recovery screen detects how many words you have entered.

Check the confirmation box, then continue.

If the words are missing, misspelled, or out of order, the account cannot be restored.

# Unlock your account

The Authenticator may ask you to unlock before connecting, approving a request, viewing your recovery phrase, or changing your password.

Enter your local password, then click **Unlock**.

![Unlock account screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-c7b3946f40d6672e3942c699eabf3f97cda007a0%2Funlock-account.png?alt=media)

The unlock screen protects your saved account on this browser.

The Authenticator may lock again after inactivity or when you manually lock it.

## If you forgot your password

There is no password recovery flow. Click **start over** and recover the account with your secret recovery phrase.

The connected home screen confirms the Authenticator is connected to the current Lollipop page.

## If you are not on a Lollipop page

If you open the Authenticator somewhere else, it may tell you to open your Lollipop dashboard first.

![Dashboard required screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-dcdb50084d3292e8bfcdd4a023697c3c9a2f818f%2Fdashboard-required.png?alt=media)

This screen appears when the Authenticator needs a Lollipop page to continue.

# Approve or reject requests

Lollipop pages can send sign-in or signing requests to the Authenticator.

Read the request carefully before approving. If you do not recognize the request, click **Reject**.

## Approval request

![Login request screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-0415d5d081a8c5e91e8e6dafc67fdf75e2e6208f%2Flogin-request.png?alt=media)

The request screen shows the action being requested and gives you the choice to approve or reject it.

## Pending approval

Sometimes the Lollipop page will show a pending approval state while the Authenticator request is open.

![Pending approval screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-99670da3c4a2afce4c0bf2dc4cece0b40030d9bc%2Fpending-approval.png?alt=media)

The pending screen waits for you to approve the request from the Authenticator window.

After you approve, the page should update automatically.

## Locked before approval

Some requests may require you to unlock first. Unlock with your local password, then continue with the approval flow.

# Manage your account

Open **Manage** to view sensitive account options.

![Manage account screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-3e3c117a0ca912b250912e6fb7ca66f99fcc0576%2Fmanage-account.png?alt=media)

![Change password screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-b226069b742964c7df04760c8afec9be91fdc454%2Fchange-password.png?alt=media)

Changing your password updates the local password for this browser and device.

Your secret recovery phrase does not change when you change your password.

# Remove your account from this browser

The **Remove Account** action removes the saved Authenticator account from this browser.

It does not destroy the account itself.

![Home screen disconnected](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-23ebfc6ff8378e537cb762bec68b314d5f96e616%2Fhome-disconnected.png?alt=media)

The Remove Account action appears on the Authenticator home screen.

Use this if you are done using the Authenticator on this browser, are switching accounts, or need to reset local setup.

> **Important:** You will need your secret recovery phrase to restore this account later.

# Troubleshooting

## I forgot my password

There is no password recovery flow. Start over and recover the account using your secret recovery phrase.

If you lost both your password and your secret recovery phrase, the account cannot be recovered.

## I am not on a Lollipop page

The Authenticator only connects through Lollipop pages. Open your Lollipop dashboard or another Lollipop page, then try again.

![Dashboard required screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-dcdb50084d3292e8bfcdd4a023697c3c9a2f818f%2Fdashboard-required.png?alt=media)

This screen appears when the Authenticator needs a Lollipop page to continue.

## The request window disappeared

Open the Authenticator again from the Chrome toolbar. If the request is still active, it should be available there.

If it is gone, return to the Lollipop page and start the action again.

## The extension says the request is no longer available

The request may have expired, been rejected, or been replaced by a newer request. Return to the Lollipop page and try again.

## The site is not connected yet

Open the Authenticator while on a Lollipop page and click **Connect**.

![Home screen disconnected](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-23ebfc6ff8378e537cb762bec68b314d5f96e616%2Fhome-disconnected.png?alt=media)

The disconnected state shows the Connect button.

## I recovered my account but it is locked

Unlock it with the local password you created during recovery.

# Security tips

## Keep your recovery phrase private

Never share your secret recovery phrase. Anyone with the phrase can restore and control the same account.

Lollipop will never ask you for your secret recovery phrase.

## Store the phrase somewhere safe

Write the phrase down and keep it somewhere private. Do not store it somewhere other people can access.

## Understand what the password protects

Your password unlocks the encrypted account stored on this browser and device.

If you forget the password, you must restore the account with the recovery phrase.

## Read requests before approving

Only approve requests you expected and understand. Reject anything unexpected.

![Login request screen](https://3764565543-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQKjec3KUOsY9wSOPFigE%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-0415d5d081a8c5e91e8e6dafc67fdf75e2e6208f%2Flogin-request.png?alt=media)

The request screen gives you a final chance to approve or reject the action.
